I love pathology, honestly, and had I known that it existed as an 18 year old, or known that I had any interest in the medical field in general, I would've made different choices. Sadly, nobody gets to just go and redo everything, and even if I had the time and money I'm not sure I'd have the energy to just start over from scratch and try to go to medical school or PA school now. I don't want to call law school a safety net, because obviously it isn't, but it is more of a 'next step' from my degree and not just tossing it all out the window to start from square one again.
Right when I graduated in 2012 I was reading all of the Hannibal books AND watching X-Files, so between Clarice and Scully I absolutely, 100% also looked into what it would take to join the FBI. Obviously, I did not do it, and I definitely don't regret that choice given recent events.
